Seems like the GOP want to turn America into a 3rd world country.
Never mind, it's in the 30's.that still wouldn't hit 40% unless you live in a state with some ridiculously high tax rate, not to mention the standard deduction does take a few %s off.
i know that income can be a personal subject but does anyone care to provide their actual numbers so we can see what math has been done to calculate a 40% rate for someone that's not in the top bracket?
I'm a commercial real estate appraiser. Yikes.
We haven't fired anyone yet, but there have been massive pay cuts, and my boss did not get any pay himself for the first six or seven months of 2009.
Seems like you are saying, "let someone else, not me, give up what they have in order to fix the problem everyone is facing". You saying fed employees are overpaid, but that's really a tiny like percentage and would hardly make a dent in the overall scheme of things. Cutting salaries is a pathetic bullshit way to deal with this budget issue.
And what you guys keep saying is "if we can't save fifteen trillion all at once, lets spend forget about it and spend more instead."
drops will eventually fill the bucket. And I'm not for cutting salaries arbitrarily to solve budget problems, but alot of govt employees are fat that could be trimmed. Alot of companies in the private sector have cut back salaries... Others have laid off.
I haven't faced that yet because my company is doing well... The government isnt. So spare me the bullshit its unfair speech.
