So right before he jumps, Mission Control checks his chute via camera to make sure that it hadn't accidentally deployed while sitting there. In one of the test jumps, he couldn't hear MC tell him if the chute was good or not. He jumped anyway, and said he was 'concerned' about it when it came time to open. That dude is a fucking boss. :omy:

So, did you know that now that he has done this, he is retiring from high altitude jumps and is going to focus on being a helicopter pilot for firefighters and rescue personnel in hazardous and remote environments in australia.
