Ontopic Random (Not So) New Music Thread

I remember feeling SO DUMB when I learned that this part in Cantaloop was a sample, like of COURSE it was (but I was a kid so I'll cut myself a little slack), but to this day when I hear the original I can't help but sing "funky, funky" still

I respect any remix that gets jazz into the mainstream.
That remix was great.
Or whatever the kids called it lol.

I prefer a day of never hit no commercial potential masterpieces by frank zappa, captain beefheart and gentle giant. After which I turn my mesa boogie bass amp to 11 and play nothing but ghost notes and harmonics.
Tastes vary greatly among the general population.

None of the music I find meaningful was composed for the general population.
All I can really say here is "fair enough".

I'm listening to Tiffany "I Think We're Alone Now" and it's striking how much she looks like my first girlfriend.
