The whole thing seems odd though. If Motorola really wanted to make sure Facebook was on there, they could make it so that you couldn't uninstall it.

It's probably the carrier that's doing it. Though, the Moto G line is usually an unlocked phone.

That would be about the only reason to install an alternate OS these days.
I'd do it on my S8 to get rid of bixby and onedrive and a bunch of other crapware I can't remove from my phone. And disable the screen capture button combo that's impossible to turn off and I keep setting off.

Unfortunately that involves disabling the security on the phone, which means I can't do shit like tap-and-pay anymore, so I haven't bothered.

I ran LineageOS on my old Nexus 4 and 5 phones, shit was great.

This is the first phone I haven't rooted. It's the restarts where Facebook reinstalls. It's like some kind of nightmare and I'm sure it's sucking my info/data somehow by being installed.
