Could be sight lines. Until recently Dish was only huge with sports fans and immigrants because of the foreign tv packages they carry. Now with more HD than anyone for the foreseeable future, I think you'll see AV nuts flock to them as well.

Yeah, I can see that happening in the Boston area, lot's of people ditched cable for the clearer picture on Satellite and with the dishes on top of apartment buildings and in treeless suburbia they'd be ok.

I considered directway when we couldn't get DSL or Cable. Its too expensive for what you get.

Yeah I looked into it too when my house was first built, since there was no cable or phone acess yet.
Its like a 5oo$ setup fee for equipment + 99$/month.
