Putting a SBC on a standalone ECU

I have read some E-SBC are run off of RPM or MAF measurements. And I am very interested in a Microtech LT10 ECU http://microtechefi.com/microtech-products.php?product_id=6

I was wondering if there was a way I could hook up the cables from the E-SBC that reads the RPM into the ECU or something like that, so I can control or log the SBC from the ECU. I am just looking for more ways to geek out my car

I didn't. I just like doing research. I want to get a Mazda3 hatch with Hass turbo kit and built internals. I have a checklist/wishlist of sorts for the build.

It's a standalone ECU, it has fuel management in it as well as timing.
