That's absurd-- sanitation has been a big deal since the advent of urbanization. Look at ancient Rome for fuck's sake! Running water, sewers, indoor toilets, heated baths, etc. And they aren't alone, they're just the first example I thought of.
Yeah Dan, but aside from running water, sewers, indoor toilets and heated baths what did the Romans ever do for us?
Rape, pillage, and wholesale human slaughter of course.
Televised sports apparently.Yeah Dan, but aside from running water, sewers, indoor toilets and heated baths what did the Romans ever do for us?

All we are... is dust, in the wind...I was having a go at socratic method. Through a series of questions I was trying to get Domon to make assertions counter to his original one, namely that sanitation wasn't a thing until 150 years ago, except for Rome, which was a complete aberration the likes of which were never reproduced in human civilization.
Except for that large city is not analogous with proper sanitation.
There has to be a certain level of sanitation in order maintain a large population in a small space, otherwise it stops being a large city after a little while.
Agreed. It's like paying Starbucks prices at home.
I had no idea what a kcup was.
