Pasco County Animal Services. They were going to put down 25 dogs in one week, so we went and got our old sweetie.

I asked because I used to volunteer for one beagle rescue in the area and now work for another (tbbr/SEBR)

My boy isn't fixed, don't think I'll ever get that surgery. The only reason I got Kes fixed is because she found her heat so emotionally traumatising, it was not cool.

Very true, hence why there are two large beagle-specific rescue groups in Tampa Bay.

This puppy is beyond crazy and stubborn. Luckily she's also snugly.

So my puppy chews constantly. To save my house I need ideas for chews that she'll love but are safe. I just bought her an antler then read a little and have now learned they can easily break teeth on aggressive chewers. She loves bully sticks but those only last an hour or two. So anyone have experience with aggressive chewers and find things that last longer than an hour but are safe? she wants edibles. Toys and non edible nylabones lose her interest really fast.

That's an easy one to solve. Just rub sriracha into all your carpets and furniture. Unless you have chihuahas. they probably love that shit.

I hate to say it, but pigs' ears and/or cows' hooves worked for my sister's golden retriever who ate whole rain boots and garden hoses.

I hate to say it, but pigs' ears and/or cows' hooves worked for my sister's golden retriever who ate whole rain boots and garden hoses.

Unfortunately I tried pig ears and she swallowed about half one. Not sure if that's harmful so I'm staying away. I'll look into hooves. It's so hard when half (or more) of the stuff on the market isn't really ideal. I'll probably have to call my vet and see what she thinks.

@kiwi, this may work for you or not, but it works for my Heeler, and he's a big toy/puzzle fan, but also very rough and abusive to his stuff.

WestPaw in general makes pretty durable toys for dogs that are pretty rough on things.
