So I was reading a study that was released stating the lowest approval rating for all of Congress, not just Repub vs. Dems ever. The reps are playing coverup and damage control from the studies so as not to lose incumbent votes, but this poses an interesting question; what do you think about a political reboot? Vote out ALL currently "working" reps and vote in new members? Pros? Cons?

Personally I kinda like the idea. Thoughts?

I think the US should separate into two distinct countries, Republican USA and Democrat USA.

Well that wouldn't work, the Repub side would just bomb the other and steal the resources and enslave the labor of those left.

Three things:

Firstly: Both parties represent over a hundred sub-parties because the nature of the system makes it difficult to impossible for third parties to win. Ergo, sweeping generalizations about either party are generally misnomers and national candidates tend toward the stronger factions in their own parties. It's relatively pointless to say anything that isn't addressed to an individual.

Secondly: Your statements almost always have that of an attitude of victimization. This may come as a shock but losing is not the measure of right. Constantly bringing up how put upon you or some other group is not an argument, and fails to evoke any sympathy.

Thirdly: You are the worst person to start a thread on politics because you have a tendency to ignore the entire other side and constantly reiterate your own position. It's not a discussion, it's not even communication and it's boring.

The irony of this thread is you pose a good question and then ruin it by instantly taking a side doing the very thing you're hoping to avoid.

Its not a good question, because its a bad idea that would likely result in the collapse of this country. It also would be illegal because each of those people have the right to seek reelection.

Not like you going to get much of a change voting out all incumbents. You'll just get those next inline to be the next incumbents doing the exact same thing.

It's still a good question. Your answer to that question would be no for the reason you just posted. And he political reboot could be from citizens exercising their right to vote and not voting for a single incumbent. S i could be legal.

That's why, for it to work, it needs to happen for like 4 elections in a row. Get the message out that until things change, everyone get's only 1 term.

Still wont change a thing. It's the system that's broken, not the ones in the system. Your style of government is broken, Some people have found ways to exploit it. Y'all need to release a patch to fix it, or change it completely.
