Another case of something being mistaken for socialism when it's just failed capitalist marketing.
Intelligent people understand the experiment had nothing to do with socialism and you can't believe everything you read.
:case:

Intelligent people know that
The socialist-tinged ventures were called "Panera Cares"
^from the 2nd line in the article doesn't equal "Socialism" :fly:

another case of, "I read the headline and jumped to conclusions!"

To be fair, I read about a fourth of it, so I read that line. And that is not really what "tinged" means. Socialist-tinged implies it is a little socialist. It doesn't mean it isn't really socialist at all. There is nothing socialist about marketing that causes the employs to suffer for the benefit of the customers and/or owners. I don't make it a habit of reading entire articles that start out stupid.

even if it was somehow an actual example of socialism, the society as a whole within which Panera consumers have to operate is still capitalist

not sure you understand what 'socialist tinged' meant in the article so you're trying to generalize and brush it off entirely.

Still trying to figure out how this "surprise, that was a stupid idea" business experiment represents a 'socialist' government in any way, though.

Pretty sure a "socialist" government will provide a service up front (health care, road maintenance, whatever) instead of free fuckin' tangible goods for you to raid at your heart's content... and they'll tax you for providing that service.
