Yeah, so, I almost always have a pocket knife in my left pocket if I leave the house. I think it may be one of those habits I picked up from my grandfather. That and drinking moonshine. I feel nekkid with out it. I left it in Cleveland earlier this week. Been bugging me. I have a few others but they are all ones that my grandfather has given me, I would like to put them up so as not to lose them. I've been looking around for something to replace it with.

Any other suggestions? I like the quick release/switchblade.

Me, I'm more a fan of the simple 503s w/ wood handles. Sadly I lost my last one and haven't felt like replacing it.

Question: Are the Bucknifes made in the states? I can tell you this much, Chicago cutlery should be called Chinacutlery now.

idaho i think. i'd go with schrade too, that one is in tennessee. i've been through that plant. the one i left at my parents is schrade. i still have several of the "if you lose your knife for any reason we will replace it," certificatees. my grandfather use to sell them at his store.

i did hear kalishnikov made a decent switch blade. anyone heard anything about them?

Stainless Leatherman Wave FTW.

i have two leathermen. one of the larger ones that is honestly two bulky to carry in a pocket and a smaller one that is more suited for a keychain.

Ask the ex-Marine here in Atlanta that defended himself with only a knife against 5 attackers (one with a shotgun). I'd buy whatever knife he had. It seems charmed (not to take away from his Marine-taught killing skills).

I've had this one for years.

If I can't fix a hardware problem with it then your computer is dead.

I always carry a pocket knife and a handkerchief.

So have you ever picked your teeth, scaled a fish, punched a hole in leather or opened a can or bottle with it?
