That's not 100%. Some cases children will do what they want no matter the quality of discipline.

You have to discipline them in a way that makes them fear/understand the consequences and love them enough to not rebel against said discipline.

No one misbehaved around my dad. And he wasn't even trying to punish other kids.....but he looked like he would.
