I've read a couple different articles on the forecast Palm buyout by either Nokia, Motorola, or private equity investors. I hope whoever buys it doesn't fuck up the Treo. I'm still hoping that someone will make a Treo with both CDMA and GSM radios in it. I don't know who the best candidate for that is, but I know it's not private equity. I hope those fuckers don't get their greedy mitts on the company. Apparently private equity is favoured by the management, but that probably has a lot to do with the management being largely redundant if Nokia or Motorola buys them.

Whoever buys it up needs to keep Palm OS or something similar. Palm OS >>> Stripped down Windows XP (aka Windows Mobile). And technically Palm owes Be, so making a nice microkernal OS would be totally rad.

I like Palm OS. I'd love to see it survive as long as it's marketshare grows.
