jersey is easy to rag but it's actually got some immensely wealthy areas due to its proximity to NYC. same reason CT is rich.
It's easy to rag on NJ because most of what you see is the chemical coast area, then you're in Philadelphia unless the NJ cops get you >.<
 
I worked for an environmental chemistry lab that did water and soil testing and cleanup and most of our clients were sites in New Jersey. My job was to read over all the reports with the results from the GCMS before they went out to the clients and I got to be horrified at the state of some of those places. Never ever visit Cherry Hill, NJ for any amount of time. Definitely don't drink the water if you have to be there.

by that logic the same applies to CT
CT is distinctly New England. I always group it more with Massholes than NJ. Long Island is whole different set of idiots.

Princeton is to NJ , as Cambridge is to Boston >.>
