Last night I went to a local bar with a friend of mine, and what did we see parked in the parking lot, completely unattended? The Oscar Meyer weinermobile! We stood there for a bit debating whether to head back home for cameras, or go in for a drink first, then go home for cameras. We decided on the latter ("If it's parked here at 10pm, it's staying for the night" - my roommate), and when we came back out, it was gone :(

What are your wasted opportunities?

My missed moment?

Well, a few years ago I was spending some time in a commune out in western NY. I was the "bread maker" or some shit, I really just snuck off into town to buy whatever bread people wanted cuz it was less work and still cheaper than paying rent or for all the food and fresh beer they pumped into me.

So after a while the commune 'elders' trusted me enough, and let me in on their nightly discussions, mostly because I would drink myself to oblivion and cause humorous injuries to myself and others. I guess one of them had gotten a research grant to study the effects of intoxication on marine creatures. He needed assistants to go with him on the excursion and wanted me to go along with him. One particularly fascinating point of the research, was that dolphins seemed to get exceedingly amorous when exposed to alcohol.

I just had to get up early to make the plane ride to the cape to catch the vessel out of Woods Hole, since we would be tagging along on an expidition whose main purpose was to record whale mating calls (again). Of course I woke up in Peoria that day, missing the flight and the boat.

Now I'll never get to fuck a dolphin :(

Please tell me this is a true story so that I can start praying to you.

I was a latenite one night and the fucking Mystery Machine was parked outside. It was like the coolest thing ever. Someone had gone to great lengths and spent a TON of money to make it look EXACTLY like the cartoon van.

I've seen something like that before, I think around here. I also saw the ghostbusters car, except it was a Ford Escort Wagon instead of a hearse.
