They are? :p I heard they had a really good team... just goes to show.

Does Dartmouth U have a good football team? I might be offered a place to study there in a few years, it would be fun to follow it if I could.

I was more kidding. Stanford can hold their own. Not exactly a powerhouse, but I wouldn't exactly brush them off either.

Dartmouth is in the Ivy League so, basically no they aren't good.

(Although they seem to be the best in the Ivy League)

Oh :(

Who would be the best team then so I know who to look out for if NASN ever gets around to showing NCAA games?

Teams you can't go wrong with (at least in terms of tradition):
Alabama
Texas
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Michigan
Penn State
University of Southern California (USC)

Theres more but they skip me for the moment.

Teams in terms of quality, it seems the top two conferences to look out for are Big10 and SEC with Big10 being the toughest this year.

Thank you sah, this has helped me :D

I'd love to get a Notre Dame shirt. Especially with the leprechaun/shamrocks etc. Good oul stuff.

Just found out NASN will be covering the NCAA games starting August 26th. I have no idea what the sugar bowl/orange bowl/rose bowl etc is. I thought the heisman trophy was what college teams play for.

The bowls you mentioned are part of the Bowl Championship series (BCS). They basically say who's in the top 4. (Those will take place in the first week of January)

The Heisman is for individuals. It's bragging rights for the team that they can elevate a person to national status that they win that award.

Ahh, that explains alot, thank you sir. :D

Do you still play football yourself?

I'm posting in this thread even though I've never been to Atlanta or Georgia Tech, and don't know anyone who has and have never even met any of the people on this forum.
