Oh well

Never ever ever take a problem to HR.

They are the freaking ultimate in brown nosing suck ups. EVERYWHERE.

I trust them less than I trust a former prositute to be my faithful loving wife.

Yeah, that's part of what I learned. The other parts were things that I need to work on to improve, and the conversation that I had with the guy who interviewed me was rewarding after the fact. I got to express concerns with how some other things have been handled and hear about some positive changes that he believes are coming.

The one time I did that, I was asked to leave that day

At least they continued to pay me for a few weeks afterwards.

At the time it really was my only option. My boss was out sick with a stroke and the guy they put in the interim couldn't do anything about it.

If I knew then what I know now...

Always remember that ultimately HR works for the man. They are not really there to help or protect you, they are there to protect the company. My mom did that job for years and it was always a tricky place to be. She was loved and hated by many.
