don't believe I've ever heard of a modern blimp light on fire and crashing like the hindenburg

So it landed close enough for everyone but the pilot to jump out?

They are balanced in such a way that any dramatic change in weight has an almost instant effect. Once the three passengers jumped, with the pilot still at the help to control the ship, it skyrocketed up. The pilot never stood a chance.

This didn't crash in any way shape or form like Hindenberg. That went down in a fireball of blazing hydrogen. It was the blimp on fire. This was a fuel fire only. I know the result was similar but the cause wasn't.

Semantics my friend. Just drawing a loose comparison.

The pilot knew what was going to happen and saved three peoples lives. He went out a hero. Can't ask for a better way to die if it's your time to die.
