Here are some renderings of the Manhattan skyline as it's slated to appear upon completion in 2012. I'm curious what you think about them. It seems a lot of people love them, and just as many people hate them, though honestly I'm not sure why. Personally I think they look great, and are light years beyond the sheer fugliness that was the Twin Towers.
Horrible, fugly, sterile, minimalist rendering of the Freedom Tower's base (concrete with reinforcing steel and titanium overlay to protect from truck bombs):

Freedom Tower's base not looking quite as bad, with people, trees, and soothing water:

GREATEST LOBBY EVER, AMIRITE???? Freedom Tower lobby looking basic but somewhat groovy:

View of the escalators, which is a massive part of any architectural portfolio. Apparently.

Rendering of 175 Greenwich and 150 Greenwich from West Side Highway. 200 Greenwich can just be seen at the left, and Freedom Tower would be located just out of the shot next to that:

View of 175 Greenwich from Cortlandt Street, with 200 Greenwich in the background.

Montage of the rather nondescript 150 Greenwich:
