Out of curiosity, anyone here ever try roasting their own coffee beans?

I dont drink coffee enough to waste that amount of time. Roomate may eventually do if if he ever gets tired of paying the starbucks tax.

Never tried roasting them myself. That might be a little tough. I think I'll just trust Starbucks to do it for me.

your uber coffee maker doesn't roast them too, theac? you should take that crap back if it doesn't.

Yeah, I found that last night.

Considering I got some of the best coffee I ever tasted on vacation from people who live on dirt floors basically, I figure it can't be too hard. I like to cook complicated stuff, so I figure this would be right up my alley.

No, but if you want, apparently cast iron skillets and hot air popcorn poppers work pretty well.
