Thread Needlessly wordy descriptions of songs and song titles

Discussion in 'useless chatter' started by itburnswhenipee, Aug 17, 2010.

  1. In which descriptions of songs or names of songs shall be laid out in too many words so that others may guess at the actual title for the sake of amusement. Allow me to start with a few easy samples:

A man admiringly contemplates one aspect of the female form with such zeal and passion that he finds himself compelled to be truthful on the matter.

A woman with limited abilities of appraisal secures ownership of what she believes to be an ascendancy to paradise.

You find yourself in a warm and humid environment, thick with flora of all sorts. You can expect to perish shortly.

  5. The forward slash in DGAS is superfluous. It works in TL/DR because it's a shortening of Too Long. Didn't Read. DGAS is a straight up acronym for Don't Give A Shit, which is expressed in a single sentence. No one would say, "Don't give. A shit." That doesn't make any sense. Breaking it into two statements destroys the idea you were trying to convey.

Also: go sit on a fireplace poker you genetic mistake.
