The cinematography for Eyes Wide Shut was amazing. Every frame was like a perfectly executed painting.

And let's not forget the casino floor scene in Casino. The dealer watches, etc, etc. Fantastic.

edit: "Doped horses, fixed fights, crooked fucking Zebra's".

Older good movies:

The Untouchables - flick about bringing down chicago crime boss Al Capone. based loosely on what really happened... pretty interesting movie.

Deliverance - 70's movie about imbred mountain folk that kickass at playing banjo and like to make city boys squeel like a pig as they rape them. It's one of those classics that you just gotta watch.

Dazed and Confused - 90's movie about a high school in the 70's. comedy gold.

Porky's 1 and 3 - 70's movies about high school. also comedy gold. classics.

Animal House - 70's flick about college. comedy f'in gold. classic.

Pitch Black and then Chronicals of Riddick - good action flicks that go togethor. I recommend them.

Tombstone - kurt russell, val kilmer, some cleaning up dodge city then moving west. val kilmer has some awesome lines in this movie. must see.

The Count of Monte Cristo - i never read the book but the movie is absolutely fantastic. Guy basically gets hosed then takes revenge on everyone years later.

Sleepers - 1996 movie with Kevin Bacon, Robert De Niro, and a bunch of others. It's like a modern day Count of Monte Cristo in a sense. come to think of it, i think that book is even referenced in it. Anyways, some kids get in trouble, goto prison, then eventually they get even with the world or something... absolutely awesome movie. Probably in my top 10.

Backdraft - classic movie about fire fighters, and investigors looking into what causes the fires, etc. kind of a mystery action movie.

Rounders - movie about gambling with Matt Damon. He goes around and gambles and shit and it makes for a pretty decent movie.

The Last of the Mohicans - another action flick about some white guy adopted by the indians and they go around and get killed by other indians and stuff during the revolutionary war. or maybe some other war. either way, great movie.

willow - great movie.

Stargate - I never watched the series or any of that other BS, but this turned out to be a pretty good sci-fi movie.

Starship Troopers - sci-fi movie that turned out to be a comedy. Great relaxing action/funny spoof type movie. hot naked chicks.

The Lost Boys - vampire movie classic with the two corey's, the new one sucks, but this one is awesome.

The Burbs - honestly it's a masterpeice.

Young Guns - Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, and others as billy the kid and his gang riding around the west. Not a real serious movie but not neccessarily a comedy, just a good light hearted movie to watch.

The Three Musketeers - i dunno why i like this movie, but it's awesome. I enjoyed the book and the movie is very very loosely based on some parts of it, but it's a damn good movie. made by disney too i think.

made in the 2000's.

reign of fire - sci fi movie about dragons. decent movie.

King Arthur - realistic look at arthur and his round table. lots of good fight scenes. action flick. great movie.

Serinity - based off the series Firefly that only lasted for 15 episodes... awesome movie, awesome series, grab the whole thing. Sci-Fi show about some guys in a space ship that fly around the galaxy in the future smuggling stuff... have alot of crazy adventures right? i'm not a star-trek fan or anything at all, but this stuff was great.

Troy - another action movie about troy... yea, you've probably seen it, go see it again.

Hotel Rwanda - this is a somewhat factual movie based on the genocides that happened in Rwanda and were largely ignored by clinton and everyone else. A definite must see if nothing else but for the education of the atrocities that went on in the mid 90s in the modern world... and to see how damn neglected non-oil nations are.

Batman Begins - not a big batman fan but this is a more realistic look at batman, prequil the other shit, alot better than Dark Knight imo. Good movie.

Sin City - i'm not sure how to describe it. was awesome though.

Shooter - Came out last year, I didn't think I'd like this movie but it's about a sniper kicking ass, kind of like the Bourne series. turned out to be awesome.

The Bourne Series - good little action flicks.

are you looking for older movies? newer ones? comedies? action flicks? serious flicks? or what exactly? that last post was me just browsing through my movie collection... i made it about 1/4th the way through.

I meant to specify the remake made in the 80's with kevin costner... of all people. it was one of his few decent movies.

Sean Connery was in it too along with Bob DeNiro and a young Andy Garcia. Great flick.

"You got him?"

"Yeah, I got him"

"Take him"

Speaking of Andy Garcia, let's not forget about Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead.

Rambo 4 - Seriously, watch the other 3 rambo's then this one. It was an awesome no brainer pure action no BS rambo kickin everyone elses ass flick. The best part? It actually did a good job closing out the series and bringing rambo full circle.

Indeed. It's everything you want in an action flick. Lot's of action and almost no plot to speak of.

Kind of like the first Predator and the Die Hard series.
