A group of 7 moms in Spain decided the best way to raise money for their kids school is to get naked. Sounds like a great plan right? WRONG! The problem had nothing to do with them taking dirty pics for the kids, which I find even more surprising. I guess the company that was printing the calenders screwed up the order and didnt get them out before Christmas. Personally I think that had nothing to do with the amount they sold but I will let you be the judge of that...

No Nudity but kinda NWS so spoiler...

Seven middle-aged Spanish moms who posed for a tongue-in-cheek erotic calendar — a fundraiser for their children's tiny, rural school — are now saddled with debt and 5,000 unwanted copies.

The photos came out as calendars in November and at first proved to be a big hit. But the plan backfired.

because of a miscue with a distributor they missed out on the Christmas shopping rush. Now, sales of the euro5 (US$8) calendar have dried up and they owe a printer nearly euro10,000 (US$16,000).

I want to hear from the mothers in here!!! Would you consider doing semi-nude photos for your child to help raise money? Maybe it is just me but that seems very, very odd. Are we going to have a UF Calender to help raise marklar for Flymart?

I am a mother of two teenage boys and I would not do that, just because of the ridicule and embarrassment it would put them through. Can you imagine having your buddies tell you how hot your mom is? Can you imagine walking in on one of your friends yanking their chain to a pic of your mom? *shudders*

It is hard enough for kids to come to grips that their parents have sex.

I have nothing against a little nudity and creative fund raising, but I would not pose.

What makes you think that the friends of kids aren't already saying that about each other's moms, whether or not they are clothed?

I don't see the big deal. Didn't those grandmas here in US do the same thing a year or two ago?

Although I agree with you 100% the article says there is only like 7 kids in the class. The picture shows about that many moms so I assume ALL of the moms did it. That might not make this much better but at least it isn't just 1 kids mom :fly:

So back when you were in high school or younger, you would see no problem with your mother doing a close to nude photoshoot? I find that hard to believe, unless your moms a hottie? :D Wait, thats still just not right

I meant to say don't see the big fuss about the photoshoot. Didn't appear to be full frontal nudity (and now for something completely different). It's a different topic had they done a Hustler-esque photoshoot.

edit: I find it hilarious that they missed their printing date and now owe the printers a bunch of money. Took an ironic turn there.

Well, I am sure they are thinking it....boys will be boys after all. I guess I would feel really bad adding fuel to the fire and making life even more awkward for my boys.

I would totally be out there hawking those calendars if some of the moms in my kids school did this as a fund raiser. I would probably help coordinate the whole thing and everything. I just would not pose.
