Either way, it would be totally fucking awesome if it happened in our lives. I'd like to think it might actually get people more interested in space.Sorry, you're totally right. I dont know why i thought it was the brightest
Is your FIOS gigabit? Cause mine isn't.i wont be getting it, cause fios, but this will be an absolute gamechanger for anyone rural or stuck in a comcast monopoly area.
My parents pay 100 bucks a month for "4" megabit dsl. 4 meaning 1.2
Which i suppose is better than paying 100 bucks a month for "56k" which they did up until 2007. 56k was 21.2k.
You may have missed it, but they are working on the albedo problem. Many astronomers have concerns with the Starlink and other satellite constellation projects. Imagers will have sessions ruined by the constant flow of satellites in frames, having to drop frames to clean up the images. Radio astronomers got some relief on the frequencies that the Starlink satellites will be communicating on. Infrared astronomers won't have any luck. Those satellites will bug up their images too.
I wish more discussion on this had been done 10 years ago. The genie is out of the bottle now, and the astronomy community is going to have to pick up the pieces somehow.
Painting the satellites black, even vanta black will cause thermal issues, cooking the electronics inside plus make them super visible in infrared spectrum. And I don't think the glint of light issue from solar panels can even be solved. You may have missed it, but they are working on the albedo problem.
That might be slightly true for the sizes of the satellites involved (IDK if we're talking about something bigger than a breadbox, but we're certainly talking about something smaller than Elon Musk's ego), but there's plenty of research into heat management on satellites.Painting the satellites black, even vanta black will cause thermal issues, cooking the electronics inside plus make them super visible in infrared spectrum. And I don't think the glint of light issue from solar panels can even be solved.
Whatever they did with one of the last batch said it would reduce albedo, and performance. Whatever that means.Painting the satellites black, even vanta black will cause thermal issues, cooking the electronics inside plus make them super visible in infrared spectrum. And I don't think the glint of light issue from solar panels can even be solved.
I gave you the clue above. The only way to get a piece of that is to buy Alphabet. * For 5G my recommends are Xilinx and Skyworks. Although, the prime time to buy SW was about a month ago Up about 15% in last 4 weeks, more like 25% 4-5 days ago.goddamn i wish i could buy some starlink/spacex stock.
The employees are gonna as rich as the people that got microsoft shares in the beginning in 10 years
