You are arguing against yourself.

Math is philosophy, science is philosophy, most things outside of "JESUS DID IT" is philosophy, because, from an etymological perspective, it's all seeking to explain things in life.

So, unless you're really willing to argue "EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING", I think you probably ought to just let it drop. My job involves a small amount of pure scientific research (about 25%) and a lot of engineering, so if anyone should know the fucking difference, I should.
