It's not going to work for you.
Albuquerque is not that big. When they say it wont work in cities, they mean like NY or san fran.

They said it can't handle the user density in metro areas. So not for a long time at least.Ever?
We'll see, but I don't think that's what they meant.Albuquerque is not that big. When they say it wont work in cities, they mean like NY or san fran.
I'm willing to wait. Anything that brings competition to my market is going to help. They said it can't handle the user density in metro areas. So not for a long time at least.
Oh wow, I did not realize that the beta was being offered in Canada yet. I thought Starlink just got the first portion of government approval and thought they still had other regulatory approvals to go through. Awesome! They're offering it here in Nova Scotia now, which 45N cuts through.
I think all of us take high speed internet for granted. Would you want to live in a town where you only have dialup internet? Could you operate a business without it these days? I think starlink will literally save small towns.
Here's a map of Nova Scotia where >1mbps internet is available. There might be DSL outside the splotches but they don't count it if you can't get it reliably, eg if you have several customers sharing 1mbps.

It seems that it was expected after the two previous cable breaks, but still kinda sad.aw fuck. that sucks.
I hope everyone is safe and noone was hurt.
yeah, i just didnt expect it so soon, as so completely. Looks like all the cables were on the way out at the same time.It seems that it was expected after the two previous cable breaks, but still kinda sad.
No point in maintenance if you can't afford to replace the cables.yeah, i just didnt expect it so soon, as so completely. Looks like all the cables were on the way out at the same time.
Im surprised they didnt have routine maintenance checks like bridges
I fully support any e-peen space races.I hope they build a new one at the site or similar location. Need to one up the Chinese with their 500 meter radio observatory.
that bellyflop procedure to bleed off velocity was super cool
While I appreciate the efforts unless the PCBs, solar panels, antenna arrays, propellent, etc are wood - does this even matter?Neat idea. I'd love to see some of the designs of them
Japan to create first wooden satellites that completely burn up on re-entry to eliminate space junk
The satellite would burn up without releasing harmful substances when it comes back to Earthwww.independent.co.uk
