Yup, they have a hard chunk of slick curved plastic which you could grind with. The only thing that sucked is they were to heavy and the grind pad would get in the way if you were skating.

Beat the game today and starting to do the race now. The story pretty much sucked and the ending was bad but the game itself is still entertaining.
