Don't do it unless you need it for internet. Have Directv and fiber internet at my condo and Comcast at gf's.

We have a massive array on the roof of the condo 16 floors up that supplies all 88 units. It gets screwy maybe a couple times a year.

We just switched from dish to Comcast. I hate them but the satellite was shit. The Bears game being on doesn't help me when the satellite goes out.

If you call DirecTV and tell them you want to cancel the sports' package (or even pretend to cancel DirecTV altogether), they will transfer you to the retention department. A bunch of people I know have done this, and gotten discounts.

My brother gets the nfl package free, and they threw in free premium movie channels for three months. He threatened to cancel, which he never would actually do, as a Cowboy fan boy.
