Thread Man with CCW in Dayton Ohio shoots robber, Then talks about it.

Once he got out of the car he had very little control over the situation. The tape shows that. It could have just as easily been him dead on the ground. I know you think having a pistol and a one week course of self defense makes you invincible, but it doesn't.

You can guess what could of happened all you want. The point is what DID happen. This guy was attacked by two crack heads, and he defended himself. It was pretty cut an dried. All the other sh*t you talk about happening DID NOT HAPPEN. Of course having a pistol does not make you invincible, but this very reason is why people carry them. They were high on drugs and attacked him while he was 1/2 way in his car. He did not have a chance to drive off, and he did not curl up and act defenseless.

There's a difference between not having to do something and doing it because it's the smart or right thing to do.

My point was, if you have to defend yourself and you're not doing anything wrong you should not be prosecuted for it.

This is how you deal with thieves.

A courageous man stops two thieves on a motorbike by throwing his bike against their vehicle. The two criminals have robbed a woman's purse moments earlier on the stree

At 0:51 he got in the car. He could have just drove off. He didn't. At 0:57 he gets back out of the car and they start punching each other. Somewhere after that he shoots the perp. He's lucky because his assailants were too high or stupid to realize he had a weapon. He's lucky that camera footage protected his use of force. He's lucky that the two coked out idiots didn't beat him senseless, take his car, oh and score a nice pistol to commit crimes with later.

All in all, pretty lucky guy.

The attack didn't start until after he got in the car 51 and got back out 56. Then the guy starts attacking him and number 2 comes streaking out of nowhere. He didn't have a chance to flee once the actual attack started. Monday morning quaterbacking that shit is pretty retarded.

ETA: Don't start retarded shit about 'too close to draw.' It's all relative to training.

What? Monday morning quarterbacking? The only point I was making is that leaving a confrontation is always going to be the better choice. Do you disagree for some reason?

Monday morning quarter backing (it's actually called armchair quarterbacking) is exactly what people who carry guns should be doing with this kind of video. Those that don't are just pretentious wankers who think they are 100% safe and trained for any given situation.

If you cant leave safely it's not a better choice... o_O

I like the other guy punching the perp when he was on the run. talk about a community fighting for each other.

The better choice would be to never leave your house. Seriously is there any reason to do that anymore? Just rig booby traps in your house surrounded by a moat and have food delivered. Amazon Prime ftw.
