Looking for interior decorating advice

$800 for furnature is a bit more than I am looking for.

He likes the hutch we are using now, but as for usability, it isn't the greatest. He wants them a bit more visible. Something like those shelves/hangers are minimal, take up little room, and give his glasses (of all types) maximum visibilty.

Why don't you go for those long shelves and wrap it around a room or stack them on the wall?

We have these and love them http://www.westelm.com/online/store...E-SH1WALSHE&retainNav=true&cmsrc=WE-SH1WALSHE

Or it could be basic shelves like these: http://www.westelm.com/online/store...E-SH1WALSHE&retainNav=true&cmsrc=WE-SH1WALSHE

I would prefer something that hangs, too. I like the idea of the glasses upside down AND right side up on one shelf.

What long shelves are you talking about?

60?

Consider a wooden tie rack (one with wooden pegs to stick the glasses on), if you can find one with long enough pegs.

You might need 2 or 3.

This would give you a very unique look and save you tons of cash.

If thats the look you want (and/or money is a an object) then the shelves April posted coupled with a hanging rack bolted underneath, or the ones you posted yourself work rather well. Just stack them to make them appear bookcase like. That way if he keeps collecting you can just keep adding shelving units.
