It doesn't give you a choice there. It's still all or nothing.


However, after tinkering around inside the cab file, I actually found a MSI that installs just the drivers. Woo Hoo! Unfortunately, there were about a dozen files I had to add the last letter of the extention to to make it work (ie *.dl_ had to be changed manually to *.dll) Now to go home and test it.
 
I had to deal with that sort of thing when I got my printer. Apparently HP makes 2 or 3 printers that don't use PCL code, but something different and very proprietary. Somehow I managed to end up with one of these printers. I would never have thought that anyone would do something like this. I managed to only install the drivers for it by unpacking all the cabs and stuff, then going through the windows detection/setup wizard. Through Linux it was a TON more difficult and I can only print in black ink.
