Recommend lesser know movies to everyone. They don't have to be recent just movies that people may not heard about.

A stoner comedy I saw recently was Puff Puff Pass. Plot outline "Tired of being on the wagon, two stoners get voluntarily mixed up in the plot to rip off a shady figure known as Mr. Big."

Human Traffic - Plot Outline "Five friends spend one lost weekend in a mix of music, love and club culture." Funny and a great soundtrack.

an Italian spaghetti western call "Django" is pretty good.
Its actually in Italian, so you have to deal with sub-titles, but if you like that kind of movie it worth watching.

Southland Tales

Plot - Boxer(Dwayne Johnson) is a famous actor with political ties and ends up with amnesia coming out of the desert. Not much of the plot is explained and it just kinda jumps you into a movie with 30 things going on at once. The world is in WWIII and there is a new energy source that uses waves to project energy through the air to power vehicles. Boxer ends up fucking a porn star Krysta NOW!(sarah michelle gellar) and everyone is trying to use him for one thing or another. Without saying to much and ruining the movie the easiest way to sum it up is the director. Same director as Donnie Darko, Richard Kelly so that should tell you its hard to understand and very in depth.

Its an odd movie with horrible acting but it is meant to be this way. Special effects are pretty good but also kind of lame to fit the movies purposely B-rated quality. There is many popular actors and you will notice almost every person in the movie, bad thing is there are so many. It is hard to follow and not for everyone but if you like whacked out movies with hard to follow story lines and goofy-er than normal acting, its a great movie.

Fly might be adding it to UF - Theater

wal-mart: the high price of low cost/documentary

i just saw american gangster and liked it (tho not lesser known)

oh.. that movie about the DJ who goes def.. i know beerad said he knew it.. it was good.

The Gary Oldman classic, Romeo is Bleeding.

Romeo Is Bleeding is a 1993 darkly comic police story starring Gary Oldman and Lena Olin. The film's title was taken from a Tom Waits song. Oldman plays a bad cop on the take whose actions finally catch up with him. Olin is Mona, a murderous Russian hit woman.

Bon Jovi recorded the song Always for the film but later withheld the song after they were given a preview screening and were not satisfied with the film[1]. Accordingly the song is not included in the movie or its soundtrack. Despite praise for the performances by Oldman and Olin, the film itself was generally panned by critics[2] and was a box office failure, grossing only $3.6 million worldwide[3] despite its $10 million budget.[4] Despite being poorly received on release, however, the film has since gained a cult following.[5]

Its All Gone Pete Tong

Plot - A UK DJ(wow all caps) is in the high point of his career when his ears start to go on him. He sees a doctor about it who gives him a hearing aid and instructs him to only use it when absolutely needed. Ends up wearing it in the recording studio leaving him completely deaf in both ears and unable to do what he loves(although he tries anyways ). Ends up turning hard to drugs and liquor while locking himself in a completely sound proof room in desparate hopes to regain his hearing. Constantly being chased by a coke fiend badger that slaps him in the face with his cocaine wand :fly:. He then has to teach himself how to spin without hearing by using bass vibrations and wav files

Great movie about love of music, drugs and battling back from nothing.

Fortress. A little known Australian movie from 86. Plot - "Fortress" explores a shocking concept which shows how easily a borderline between a victim and an attacker can be crossed. The children and the teacher, calm and peaceful by nature, when driven beyond their limits by the kidnappers, eventually respond with a cruelty and fury extending that of their oppressors.

When the teacher and kids snap and decide to fight back the movie turns dark as hell.

Stay (2005)

Impossible to describe without ruining the movie... here is someone elses plot outline and its better than what I could do. It is another pretty whacked out movie and you will really enjoy it. Basically dream state and reality start colliding together between people in more of a purgatory I guess you could say, heres the plot...

After a car accident on a bridge, the psychiatrist Sam Foster (Ewan McGregor) assumes the case of the survivor Henry Letham (Ryan Gosling), who apparently torched and car and promises to commit suicide three days later. Sam decides to investigate deeper what happened with Henry, and feels that he is becoming detached from reality with his findings about the case. He asks his girlfriend Lila Culpepper (Naomi Watts) to help himself to stay lucid, while trying to solve the intriguing situation of Henry
