For anyone who knows anything about laptops, the two far sides by the connection of my screen to my keyboard have cracked and I'm wondering if anyone knows how big of a problem this is. It's a little over a year old (I noticed the problem one day after our warranty ran out, I know the irony).

Are you afraid it would get taken away at the end of the sentance?

I guess I was caught off guard by the original question. Between KNYTE and I we only own one laptop and that is the one with the problem.

Edit: That and KNYTE keeps trying to take it away from me.

Next time he trys, kick him in the shins and then the face.

And then kiss him and tell him you love him but don't touch your stuff.

And then make him a potpie.

Contact emachines stat. Depending on the model it is a known defect that they are required to fix. Warning though, from reading some threads, it seems like sometimes it can take awhile to get it back from them.

I dunno how well that's going to be as emachines was enveloped by HP...

/edit
And they don't make laptops anymore. :(
