I used to have to re-seat the CPU on my old PIII Dell laptop once a week that way, took a minute each time
d600s have problems but the d610s and d620s are fine.we just got a boatload here at work. They seem to be pretty sweet.
stay away from D600 and 8600 models. We replace drives like crazy on them thar suckers.
I would look into an IBM if i were to get one. I dont trust dells at all.
I support dells and have a d610 laptop myself 40gig with wireless. it works wonderfully and can play WoW.
if you are going to get some gaming in I recommend the XPS series of dells.
My E1505 plays every game I have beautifully. Pretty much max settings on everything except Hitman 4.
Oblivion runs at high settings, but like Hitman it has some pretty gratuitous graphics options like generation 14 lens flare emulsifiers and nuclear triphase pulse emitters.
bumpage to christen the new lappie!
i ended up getting the E1505 with the duo core 1.6GHz, extra gig of RAM and upgraded video card as well as internal bluetooth, makes me happy in the right places. grand total with tax was $1015. it's pretty sweet. i'm posting from our british pub before trivia night
i keep my immunology pr0n on my laptop, i mean, yeah it's great for work and play
"OOOO, that RNA is being sooooo dirty."
