Files opened. Internet brwosing happened. I did have an app for it for the GPS and music playback, but regular XP activities weren't too bad.

Well of course that stuff happened, I didn't say things didnt work. Now compare how easy that is to do vs. an Android/iOS phone. The Windows UI is TERRIBLE for touchscreens.
 
So we cook a lot in the kitchen. The recipes we use either require us to print something out, or use the netbook. Both take up counter space when cooking. Since I had an old laptop laying around...

I don't have pictures of what I did to the laptop, but basically I flipped the screen - which was NO easy task. Probably took me a total of 3-4 hours to do. I think it was worth it tho...
