Just ordered a new work PC with Windows 7

According to Dell a 64-bit Windows 7 system will recognize up to 124gigs of ram... but yet Windows 7 is NOT compatible with AMD processors.

Chikken, no I'm the IT guy for my office so I'm getting a 64bit 7 machine to start testing our apps and getting a feel for the OS.

HardOCP did a review. Price difference between the i5 and i7-920 isn't worth the price.

The bigger question is it worth it over the Q6600 I already have.

we're going to be testing win 7 on a few of IT's systems here. Since IT uses web-based software anyways, and nothing legacy to support we figure why not?

Our office is still on XP too... But we will most likely make the move to 7 if it's as good as it is cracked up to be.

we will be only moving to Windows 7. I believe the SOE with Window 7 is still currently under development.
