They called me to tell me that a sexual predator, that child porn loving, underaged girl raping piece of shit in the link has moved within 1.5 miles away from me.

wtf.

Do I do this?

Or just hide in my closet until the scarey monster moves away?

Either way, have you ever gotten a call like this? First time ever for me.

I thought you were going to say he called to ask if you shot the deputy.

Dress up like a girl scout and walk back and forth in front of his house a few times.

They actually call random people to tell them hes moving into the area?
I understand the guy has to be registered and all, but isnt this bordering on harassing the guy?

Set up a chair across the street from his house with a big sign that says "Neighborhood Watch"

Yeah, they gave me his address, description, everything. All in an automated message that lasted 1 minute and 9 seconds.

It was weird.

i got a flyer in my mail box when a registered sex offender moved in five houses down from me. no phone call, but i don't have a home phone so i'm not surprised.

Well, when I registered to vote in Hillsborough County, I listed my Cell as my home phone. I do have a home phone but hell if I know what the number is. I just use it for the gate to my place to call me to let people in.

I have one of those that goes down to a speaker on the street to buzz people in...there's no numbers on the phone though :fly:

Wow. Maybe we are on to something then.

I've never been robbed in my neighborhood. So, we can say that home phones help reduce crime!!! :fly::cool:

home phones are so last century
i know! my captain has a home phone at both of his houses and it blows my mind. it's bad enough having a home phone at one place, but with two houses everyone will just call your cell no matter what.

I pay 20 bucks a month for unlimited calling on my home phone, that's far cheaper than the cell-phone plan I would need to cover that.
sounds like a great deal, but it would be a waste of $20 for me. i don't call anyone or anything that much. i don't even use the 450 minutes on my mobile.
