Yes and no. I wasn't ready for it, but I wasn't shocked that it happened. If that makes sense.
As soon as I was escorted out, I went to a consultant firm. They got me an interview that same day. It looks promising, but it's with a 50% pay cut. It will at least pay the bills if I get the position. I'm going to have to fellate W_A_W and theacoustician (don't know who else works there) because there's NOC positions in Time Warner and I'll have to see what strings he can pull.
what a crappy time to pull something like that. why in the world would someone do that to someone else a week before christmas? good luck to you...i know how stressful it can be to look for THAT job. :hugs:

It's ok. I guess since they let me go, I don't need to worry about telling them about a hard drive that I needed recovered in order to prevent an salesman for an entire region's data from disappearing. Oh well.

My Friday was okay, I got a cold, went out to dinner and then stayed in and watched Have I Got News For You. Saturday it rained all day and I finished my Christmas shopping and on Sunday I lied on the sofa most the day watching TV shows on youtube. Today I feel like I'm over the worst of the cold and I'm feeling full of motivation and positivity. W00t w00t!

That sucks Coqui. It seems a lot of people are going to have a pretty sucky Christmas with all the lay offs.
