Smoking a 7 lb turkey breast. Brined for about 16 hrs. in salt, water, spices, date syrup and a few shots of whiskey. No nitrates - fuck that. Gonna give it 4 hours in the smoker., low and slow. Didn't want to stay up quite that late but didn't want to ruin with too much brining.3.5 hours to go. FFS. Maybe I'll call in sick - I got major issues with that place anyway.
I would bro but as I shared with you privately, I got to go in. It may be my last day. ThereTake the day, Eddie.
Make a 3 day weekend out of it.
Then add Monday. Let things cool out.
I’m attempting to slow it down. I try to do 2-4 meatless meals a week. The oldest isn’t on board but the rest don’t care.PLANT BASED!
i’m slowly converting my family ...
we currently do Meatless Mondays (the kiddo isn’t a fan) and it’s been fun coming up with ideas.. ALSO, our children visit their dad/mom every other weekend so we have had meatless kid free weekends too when they are gone
anyone else here trying to slowly phase it out or at least slow it down

I don't make a point of doing meatless food, but I'd say about 1/4 of what I eat is meatless.PLANT BASED!

I haven't had meat in about two years, I think. The family went cold turkey with me. Except the kids, we phased them out of dairy. We eat a lot of beans and nuts.PLANT BASED!

I want to get over and try one, but the only place near me that serves it tries to dress it up with all kinds of weird shit, probably to avoid the situation you described.I had the impossible burger the other day. Could not tell the difference from a normal burger. Except it didnt make me choke like beef does these days.
That said, i didnt like it, not cause the impossible part, but just because i dont like fast food burgers, and it tasted just like one
