There might be one eventually I don't think I've posted about my latest purchase the Orb RAW but I don't think you guys would even raise your eyebrows at that one. Think smaller than your thumb but blows a regular sized MagLite out of the water. Granted, it only does it for 13 minutes, but it's rechargableEl Borracho said:I was expecting flashlights, I'm suprised.
I'm seriously contemplating building a pair of canister HID lights for diving, the pre-built ones are hideously expensive.I Robert I said:There might be one eventually I don't think I've posted about my latest purchase the Orb RAW but I don't think you guys would even raise your eyebrows at that one. I'm also thinking about doing a Mag-mod, the fabled "Mag85", 3D MagLite with 700+ lumen output
fly, yeah... trannys might be my only hope

Do you know of CPF? If not you should read these forums:ChikkenNoodul said:I'm seriously contemplating building a pair of canister HID lights for diving, the pre-built ones are hideously expensive.
If you want a relatively cheap but very nice light you should take a look at the Nuwai QIII (aka TM-303X). It's a small light driven by a single CR123A (get used to these batteries, they're the standard for good lights. Get em cheap at www.batterystation.com). Beats a MagLite without breaking a sweat and can be very bright if you're lucky and get a nice bin Luxeon and run it on a rechargable CR123A (they are higher voltage and will overdrive the LED slightly). The buildquality isn't up to SureFire standards but it's considered one of the best bang for the buck lights around.El Borracho said:

Personally I haven't dealt with HID at all so I don't know much about them.
