Ike beats Tina to death

Ok Biggie, "Mo Money Mo Problems". :p

I just dont think we should be praising these killers, child molesters and animal abusers. I personally think that these people were this fucked up before the money and the money just made them worse. There are plenty of people in the star light that dont go off killing or pissing on underage teens. Losing touch with reality is a good excuse for getting caught doing drugs or shaving your head or doing some porn videos.

OJ gets off with murder and then writes a book saying "If I did it, confessions of a killer" which to me is a slap to the justice systems face.

naw, i think you'd be surprised B at how many of them developed these "bad habits" after stardom.

i've seen it in artists and more specifically with pro athletes. they're coddled from middle school on, "rules don't apply" to them.. seriously. having been around geiger, and seen the way people fawn (is that the word?) over him, it would take a VERY special person to stay grounded, humble, "normal", etc.

getting back to your hotel room in a foreign city and 3 hot chicks are waiting, sitting in the floor, outside your hotel room door, does not make one have a good grip on "reality".

my 2.

He was talking OJ and the book, i think

well that doesn't really fall under "freedom of speech" because he broke the law in trying to profit from that book. that's why the courts gave the rights to it over to the goldman family and they released under the "confessions of a double murderer" title

You just backed up my point though. Sure it will make you change a little but that is no excuse to killing people nor is it an excuse to piss on a underage chicks face. There was something wrong with these people long before they became successful

chicken and the egg, player.

their deviance could have existed pre-stardom (in vick's case i honestly think it's just a regional, cultural thing.. cruel? of course) but i think living "that kind of life" can lead to deviant behavior.

it's not normal. whereas many of them MAY have grown up in a relatively "normal" environment.

joe jackson f'd michael all up.

OJ lost it over a woman (been happening for centuries)

vick, like i said, participated in something that TO HIM was probably perfectly normal "competition" or sport, something he'd been around since he was a kid.

kelly?? ya got me there.. he's a nutjob. but again, when you have 5, 10, 15 women throw themselves at you at a time (AND I MEAN SIMULTANEOUSLY IN MANY INSTANCES) you begin to think/feel that you can do ANYTHING YOU WANT. and you start to think, "sheeeeit, lemme see if i can piss on this lil chickenhead." it's a power thing.

ILLEGAL AND DESPICABLE?? certainly.

Even Kelly's closest friends/long time supporters have started bailing on him the past few months saying he was just going to far.

since when is dogfighting and animal abuse considered a regional/cultural normalcy in virginia?

Saying its a cultural thing is not condoning it or saying its right. Vick grow up in an area where dogfighting happened. Its no excuse.

I know that, I'm saying since when is dogfighting and animal abuse a popular thing in Virginia?

i would think rural east coast, florida to VA... probably a good ol' boy thing.. drink some beers, watch the dogs.. gamble... leave the wife at home.

certainly brutal tho. i mean, i get that.

but i'm guessing. never been to a dogfight. but i bet i could find one within 24 hours. somebody got popped bout a year ago with about 15 dogs and all them fight pits out in north tampa.

big 45 dog bust out in mulberry, maybe 2 years ago.

:thrawn: any more so than rural northeast or rural midwest or rural southwest or eastern european or middle eastern or south american.....? no seriously, what on earth do you base this idea that any particular area, especially the area vick's from, has a propensity for dog fighting and animal cruelty?

We do have a large population of dog fighters in the area. I know of at least one person that raises fight dogs, found out kinda recently. I just thought he had some beautiful Pits :(

as i said, i'm guessing.

i think historically, the southeast is considered "the south", even, to a certain extent, all the way north to VA. dogfighting strikes me as something kinda redneck, "southern". iono... country.. but i think midwest "country" is different than southeast "country". i THINK. i could be wrong.

i mean, the fact that it appears to be a multimillion dollar industry (no DATA available--it's illegal and all--so I'm assuming) is evidence enough that it exists.

and as mentioned in this thread, pretty easy to find.

i'm sorry, i'm hungover and not very articulate this morning.
