IIRC that was their first national tour after they had put out their freshman album. I believe ZZtop was sponsered by Miller or Miller Lite whch caused some contrversy.

Yep. Black Crowes had a falling out with the beer company and ZZ Top during the tour and they quit the tour. Zztop did an awesome show. Still one of the best I've ever seen. Black Crowes sound decent but didn't put on much of a show in comparrison.
