Scripting is what got me out of support and into design. Well, I don't support anything that I'm not responsible for building at least. I still get calls from the deskside guys asking me why SMS hasn't pushed down the patches from the baseline yet, and why Run Advertised Programs isn't populated.

That's when I tell them that SMS stands for Slow Moving Software, go to lunch and check when you get back. :)

All of my deskside support work is now done freelance style, for which I charge exorbitant sums of money. Because really, I don't want to do it, but if you're willing to pay through the nose for it, I might as well be the guy that takes advantage of you.
 
All I have to say about the Dell forums is: good luck. Finding what you need is very hard. The admins give you a lot of wishy-washy answers. But that was for a Latitude, with a server it might
