Got the projector in today!
Good thing I got the extra bulb as it didn't come with one, which probably would have been dead anyways, but whatever.
At first it wouldn't light up but I remember reading that if the projector thinks the bulb has exceeded it's proper number of hours it won't try to light up. So I did the bulb hour counter reset and it lit up immediately!
Got a decent projector for about $225.
Now I just need to make a screen.

Some people use tinfoil but you can always pull them off the kitchen tap or buy a box in a head shop like I do... wait
