It's dead for most people already. Desktops are dead. Most laptops have SSDs. Next gen consoles are all SSD.cant wait for spinning media to finally die. We're getting really close
NVME doesn't scale as well though, that's for sure...i love how pc's have slowly gotten rid of moving parts, and now are getting rid of any cabled connections (Nvme being the best example of this).
