SSDs are gonna be as dead as spinning disk within a couple years.

Things that require discrete cables/power are "old tech". m.2 NVME is where its at. 3GB/s vs 6gbit per sec.

Meh. Separate storage is going to be dead within a couple years. Actual non-volatile memory (not the dumb shit SSDs they're selling now as NVME) is going to be cheap and plentiful.

yeah, it will all roll together sometime into a generic MRAM or phase change or optane or whatever "system memory". But thats a ways off. DRAM is still sufficiently faster for now.
