So, on our trek to Utah last week, we drove past Hoover Dam. They are in the process of building a new road over the canyon, so you don't have to deal with the bottleneck of tourists unless you actually want to visit it. This is an amazing structure, I had to take pics. They aren't anything fancy cause they are with my camera phone, but you get the idea.

And no, I didn't actually take any pictures of the Dam, just of the bridge.

This thing is 900 feet above the canyon floor, I can not wait to get to actually drive on it (supposed to be done in 2010), the view has to be spectacular. (The pictures were taken while on Hoover dam, so if you've ever seen how high up that is, then add the distance up to the road).

My bro went there last year I believe. He didn't mention this bridge. Perhaps construction had not started when he went over the bridge.

It started in 2003 (and estimated cost is 300m), but I don't know when the actual span across the canyon started, they've had to build quite a bit of new road to get up to that point as well.
