We recently moved into a new home to accommodate our growing family.
Everything was great, except we realized that the study had no place for our books. The old house had a nice set of built in book cases, so we decided to go with that again.
The office is 14' x 14', with french doors on one side, and a window on the other. That left 2 walls to choose from. I decided it was going to be floor to ceiling, and wall to wall to maximize the space available.

Anyways, here is a pic of the finished product:

(Spoiler'd for hueg)

Construction Blog:
Spoilered again for huge pics, and for those that dont give a crap

Here is the basic carcass of the cabinets in the garage.
Fabricated from 1/2" cabinet grade plywood. Its 90" tall, and each section is just over 3' wide, with the middle section (not shown here) being 18" wide.

The basics done, shelves are 12" apart, the top most and bottom most shelf will be adjustable, backing is 1/4" cabinet ply.

The base going in the spot were it will stand. I built right on top of the carpet so I wouldnt have to mess with it.

The facing is all pine, there are spacers on the top to wedge it all in place.

Crown molding, adjustable shelves in place, and doors on!

Now what? Paint, of course!

Reassembled and ready to stuff full of crap. Now what to do next?

if you had only bought an e-reader you could have saved yourself all that trouble and just thrown out the books.
