Ontopic Health Thread: post your AIDS, diseases and infekshunz here.

LOL. To antivaxxers, it's not an autism or death choice, it's a choice between autism or naturally fighting off those diseases "like we have for thousands of years".

They don't realize that people used to have like 7 children because 5 of them would die of various diseases. And even then our life expectancy was like 35 years.

So even that argument won't work.

The real homesteading experience isn't over until a wolverine steals the afterbirth out of the birthin' trench you dug in the dirt next to the outhouse.

Life expectancy for much of human history has been 50-60 years. Infant/mother mortality and child deaths due to disease skew the numbers badly enough to bring the numbers down to 35ish

He's one of my favorites. His latest one was about him going up on stage and yelling at a bunch of drunk white people for 15 minutes and getting paid a crazy amount of money at a casino that is about 30 minutes from where I live.

Same, though I think he's been eclipsed recently by Brian Posehn.

There's a strong correlation between autism and genetics, they are not sure of the actual cause yet
Yeah, it shows up more than strictly chance in some families but they haven't been able to pin it on a single gene. I guess the burning question is why such an increase in last few decades. Higher level of diagnosis doesn't explain that away.

If it's genetic, it almost certainly does.
