@Ledboots

apparently that tiny little chunk of white to the left of my ankle bone is where the ligament took some bone with it when it tore

it's a sharp little pain right there but the ligaments have all been healing exceptionally well and I'm doing the same physical therapy they had me do when I got injured in boot camp

Ouch. Does it hurt when you press it, and/or while walking or other movements?

Got allergy meds since my nose is constantly stuffed for three seasons out of the year. And my throats is sore to the point of affecting my voice.

Doc gave me generic Zyrtec and Flonase to try for six weeks.

Zyrtec turns me into a highly functional zombie, and the Flonase seems to give me a near constant low grade ocular migraine for half the day.

Stopped the Zyrtec after a week.

With the Flonase at least I can breathe , sleep properly, and not have a sore throat.

Yay pharmaceuticals.

@Ledboots how bad is aortic aneurysm surgery? My 73 year old dad went for a scan on his back because of back problems yesterday and the dr called him today and told him he has to see a specialist tomorrow to set it up.
That's a scary fuckin' surgery. Hopefully they caught it in time.

from what i have been reading is some people don't even make it 1 year after the surgery, My grandpa had it and he died within 6 months. of course he was in horrible health with other stuff too
Had a coworker whose dad had an aortic dissection and an emergency surgery for it, two years ago. He's still kicking. Definitely lost a step though.

It is a very serious surgery, Wickie, and a serious condition. That actor John Ritter put off his surgery for that condition (nicknamed AAA), and it killed him. Your father needs an experienced surgeon in this particular procedure and a good hospital. Many patients do well after the surgery and need to have the operation for sure, but the procedure has risks.
